Another great proof of Toronto's exciting and diverse culture is in the food. The city is one of the safer and less expensive places to enjoy authentic any kind of authentic cuisine.

The Districts

Each Toronto district is a zone for distinct cuisines and lifestyles. Its Chinatown is one of the largest Chinese districts in North America. Little Italy, Portugal Village, and Corso Italia feature Italian and Portuguese delights along College Street and St. Clair Avenue, respectively. Koreatown and Greektown are definitely worth visiting, too.

King Street features trendy restaurants for the theatre-goers, although Yorkville is the posh zone. On the other hand, College Street caters to the eclectic tastes of nearby university students (University of Toronto).

For vegetarians, visit The Annex and Queen West districts. Of course, there's always Downtown.

Markets

A great place to find great restaurants are farmer's markets in Toronto, aside from being the prime sources of food for the city. Of these, the St. Lawrence Market and Riverdale Farm are the most famous.
