Halifax and the surrounding region, being a major hub of Nova Scotia and the Canadian east coast, offer a lot of wine bars, beer gardens, clubs, pubs, and billiards joints for your nightlife needs. The night scene in Halifax is definitely far from boring!

The city's Argyle Street is home to many fine nightlife hotspots. Several of these are Argyle Bar and Grill (with its popular dance bar and rooftop patios), Atrium, Backstage (upscale), Belgium Bar (for beer lovers), Breakers (for pool players), Diamond (juke box, anyone?), Economy Shoe Shop Cafe & Bar, and Mercury Restaurant & Dance Bar.

Several well-known places are the Midtown Tavern, The Split Crow, Victory Arms Pub, The New Palace Cabaret, Reflections Cabaret and Cigar Bar, Pacifico Bar and Grill, Stage Nine, and The Liquor Dome. The last is quite more than interesting as its actually a term for a couple of separate bars that can be visited under a single roof.

Other pubs and bars include (but aren't limited to) Attic, Dooley's Billiards, Ginger's Tavern, Bearly's House of Blues & Ribs, Birmingham Bar and Grill, Burnie's Lounge, Cellar Bar and Grill, Cheers, Gatsby's, Granite Brewery, Duffy's Bar & Grill, Halifax Alehouse, Hell's Kitchen, Jon Alan's Cigar & Martini Bar, Maxwell's Plum, O'Carroll's Restaurant & Irish Pub, The Old Triangle Irish Alehouse, Sam Slick's, Merrill's Cafe and Lounge, Peddler's Pub, The Bitter End, The Keg Steakhouse and Bar, The Lower Deck, The Seahorse Tavern, Ship Victory Restaurant & Lounge, Shore Club, Vortex, The Mercury Restaurant and Dance Club, and Your Father's Moustache.
